Where were you born/raised?

I’m a born and raised Vermonter, in Burlington. Although I also lived in Texas, Massachusetts, Maryland, and Connecticut, each for a year or two while growing up. But back in Vermont from 1969-1998. Michigan from 1998 until 2000, then currently in Massachusetts to present. I’d love to move back to Vermont but with two grandkids in the mix down here not likely to happen now. Did I mention Vermont is a great place?

Where did you receive your education/training?

Essex Junction, VT High School, 1969-1973. B.S. in Wildlife Management, University of Vermont, 1973-1977. M.S., 1998, Plant & Soil Science, University of Vermont while working as a Research Technician (1989-1998) at the University Orchard. MSU Extension Berrien County Horticulture Agent, 1998-2000. University of Massachusetts Amherst Extension Tree Fruit Specialist, 2000 to present. Short-order cook, hardware store sales and management, unemployed homemaker with childcare in between all that.
